The beach is located in a grassland area on the east coast of Huxi Township between Longmen and Guoye villages. The Longmen Houwan Beach is in a hidden place and only a handful of people knows this place. It is usually quiet without visitors here.
In recent years, facilities with a tank-shaped toilet and a locker room are set up, and a parking area and a wooden pavilion are available nearby the facilities. The tracks on both sides of the tank are designed as a rinsing area. Tourists can look far and enjoy the scenery on the top of the tank barrel.
Protecting the beautiful and mysterious place with a tank gives more fun to this quiet beach.
The Houwan Beach is currently not developed and presents original natural scenery. The shallow and level ground in this sea area is a beach of coral fragments and shell sand. It stretches out to form a bay. However, the tide and monsoon bring garbage and driftwood to the beach, and some organizations come here to clean the beach from time to time.
Houwan Beach is sparsely populated. Only a handful of local people come to the beach occasionally to play in the water in the daytime or at dusk. When coming here, be slow down and relaxed to enjoy this wide and original beach alone.
