Guanyinting is the most precious ancient temple in Penghu. It is situated beside the Youth Activity Center. Standing in front of the temple, you can enjoy the sunset of Siyu Island which is marvelous, and which has been known as “Guanyin Xi Zhao,”
meaning “the
sunset of Guanyin.” 400 years ago, in the official annals, the scenery was described as “wide expanses of mist-covered water, with a secluded and extensive view,” and gained the fame of the “Fairyland of Siyin”.
