Waian Fake Canon was chosen as one of the Top 10 Historic Structures of Penghu in 2001. Built in the basin of a tableland, this cement canon is connected to the peripheral defense facilities through the surrounding trenches. In 2016, a project was launched to clean up the area and added view terraces and pergolas for recreational activities. This is the perfect spot for a bird's eye view of Waian Village. Several other tourist attractions are nearby, including the Xiyu Lighthouse and Waian Sanxian Pergoda.
