Wuanga Beach (or Dream Beach named by local people) is a beautiful scene just behind the Xiaochi Reservoir.
The beach is about 200 meters long and full of pure fine golden sand. Located in a remote area, the beach is only visible during the ebb period. The sand here is usually under the water and, thus, is very fine in texture. The entire beach is immersed in seawater and invisible when the tide rises. This is why it is called Dream Beach.
The Dream Beach is located in a fiord. Tourists may walk downward from the embarkment at the Xiaochi Reservoir to find this wonderland and enjoy the beautiful beach. This is an ideal place for people who do not want to be in a crowd of tourists.
Just walk downward behind the reservoir to step on the super-fine sand. There are stone weirs on both sides of the beach with a raw of fantastic columnar basalt scene nearly the beach.
At dusk, the famous Xiyu sunset glow is just over there. Tourists can enjoy the setting sun with the golden glow flashing on the beach and sea. The beautiful scenery gives the beach another name of Golden Beach.
