Come to Shanshui Beach, and you will find it more beautiful then you've ever imagined! The Penghu County Government has specifically planned the 50-meter seawall at the entrance
to the beach and uses the 3D image painting method to depict an interesting folktale of "Sow Falls into Water" that integrates into the landscape. Legend has it that a sow ran to the beach and a giant octopus appeared. To protect its piglets, the sow fought
with the octopus and was dragged into the sea, hence the name and inspiration of the painting. The goal is to share the local culture while the people play with water. The painting also adds more tourism fun and human culture to the natural landscape.

In addition to the "Sow Falls into Water" story painting, the seawall also contains a cleverly positioned surfboard to upgrade the artwork from 3D to 4D. The public can stand on the surfboard to take photos with the 3D painting of waves, octopus, and the sow
as if appearing right in the middle of the thrilling fight scene between the sow and the octopus. There are also vivid 3D paintings of dolphins that seem eager to joint the battle! The exciting and dynamic 3D images make this place a popular check-in spot.

The Penghu County Government Office indicated that Shanshui Beach is located by the sea, the paintings must overcome the high-salt content and humidity problems. So layers of water-based environmentally friendly anti-UV coatings were applied to the 3D paintings
of Shanshui Beach to protect them from the geographical environment and climate factors, and to maintain the vivid colors and full 3D effects.

Visitors are reminded not to draw graffiti when they visit and check-in. Some unscrupulous visitors had left graffiti behind and damaged the beautiful paintings. The management unit has cleaned up the graffiti and maintained the 3D paintings. Let us work together
to protect the beautiful works of art.
