Setting out from Magong along Penghu County Highway 203 toward Xiyu Township, between Chixi and Chihma, on the west coast of Chihma Village and south coast of Chixi Village, drive
along the industrial road to Xueziwei wave-cut platform, the four wonders of candle stand are in the vicinity. A downhill road leading to the four wonders of candle stand, a private property, is steep, and the location is quite private.

Walking down the downhill road, a leisure area with a shade formed by several towering trees is in sight. In the area there are some wooden and stone tables and benches. The boundless blue sea view is straight ahead with Chihma Beach and the beaches in the
Neian Recreation Area are afar. When the tide falls, a large stone trap emerges on the right. It is fantastic to enjoy sea views and serenity in such a private environment.

There is magic Guandi Temple. Behind the forest in a corrugated sheet building hides an pre-existing small temple where Wenchang Dijun (God of Culture and Literature) and Divine Guan Dijun, and Tudigong (city god) are worshipped. The statue of Divine Guan Dijun
in the temple is the statue that grows beard in hearsays. On the walls, there are records about the birthday of Wenchang Dijun and the news reports about the beard growth of Divine Guan Dijun.

The statue of Divine Guan Dijun was abandoned and picked up from the sea. Besides building a temple to worship the statue, the landlord grew many plants around to turn the place into a rarely seen “coastal garden” in Penghu. He also opens the garden to the
public for people to share the blessings of Divine Guan Dijun.

In the scenic area stands a stone tablet with a poem describing the four scenes: “Chihma Beach between Neian and Chijao is as shiny as silver. Waves flap over the candle stand as the tide rises. Temples behind the skerry bless guests. Stone traps trap treasured
foods in all seasons.” In short, they represent the beach, waves, temples, and stone traps. They are called the “candle stand” because there is a column-shaped basalt stone emerges in the intertidal zone when the tide falls.
