Longmen Beach is one of the eight ancient scenic spots in Penghu that refers to the sea area of the Longmen Shooting Range. The sea floor levels here varied significantly due
to the densely covered reefs. When the waves enter the waters near Longmen, the waves and the terrain would create a drum-like bang because the waves are blocked by the wave-cut platform terrain. The phenomenon is even more specular during the northeast monsoons
in winter or before and after a typhoon because strong winds from the east would intensify the waves' pounding on the shores. The thunderous roar and splash of the waves depict the battle between the natural climate and the topographical environment. The sound
and scenery are awe inspiring, and each bang of the wave will vibrate straight into your heart. This is the wonderful landscape of Longmen. The "Penghu Eight Scenes Poem" written by scholar Ting-Lan Tsi of Penghu provides a description of the "Beats of Longmen
Waves during the Night".

When the weather is good, you can also see the Chamuyu Lighthouse located on the eastern island about 3.5 km southeast of Longmen Beach. The geological formation is composed of dense and dark inverted basalt laying, which looks like a woman lying flat on the
sea with a clearly definable chest and abdomen lines from a distance. Chamuyu has an octagonal-shaped brick lighthouse that was opened in 1913. The exterior of the lighthouse contains black and white vertical stripes. The lighthouse is 13.4 meters tall and
equipped with a solar power 5th-class stone strobe lamp at 24.7 meters high that flashes once every 6 seconds. The lamp has a luminosity of 1200 candlelights and an optical path of 9 nautical miles, and the lighthouse has become an important beacon for vessels
traveling through the eastern waters of the Penghu islands.

On the shore, there is a land god temple and the Fude Ancient Well. Legend has it that a soldier picked up a drifting land god statue at the Lizhengjiao shore in 1983, and built a simple temple to shield the statue from the elements. In 1985, Longmen village
resident Xheng-Nan Lin initiated the construction of the Fude temple dedicated to worship the golden body of this Fude God. Although the ancient well is named the Fude Ancient Well, the well is said to have a longer history than the temple itself. Unfortunately,
there is no documentary record to verify the history of the well.

Going further inside, the plain on the shore is a vast grassland. There are four animal-shaped stone carvings on the grass. These stone carvings are seats for visitors to rest for a while and enjoy the sounds of the breeze and watch the waves in peace. If you
observe the stone-carving animals carefully, you'll see that they are looking at the same direction into the sky. You can't help but wonder what they are looking at.
