To create an image for the “Romance in Penghu Bay”, with beaches, shells, love, waves and music as elements, Shell Church with the shape of a heart shaped shell is built on Lintou Beach.
Shell Church looks like a horn representing love, and its exterior texture symbolizes the musical notes of wedding songs played in a church. The heart-shaped hollows on the roof are arranged into the shape of a lucky four-leaf clover. The shadow formed by sunlight going through these hollows changes as the sun moves, creating a happy atmosphere. Lovers can ramble on the beach and enjoy the sunset and leave an unforgettable experience at the church, thereby creating more romances here in Shell Church.
Several small shell-shaped installations artworks used as chairs are placed at the same location. These artworks are created using unique ocean resources in Penghu such as argonaut shells, giant clams and heart-shaped shells to allow visitors to understand more about the ocean culture in Penghu and build a more romantic atmosphere on site.
